Earlier this month, a tea party leader said actor Charlie Sheen--amid the actor's bizarre media tour--. But he wasn't the only member of his party feeling that way.

Janet Hook reports todaythat Ohio tea partiers are preparing to call 1,000 of Boehner's donors to complain about his failure to block a debt-limit increase, a vote for which is expected this spring. This news comes amid calls from Tea Party Nation founder Judson Phillips--the man who compared Boehner to Sheen--and others for a tea party candidate to challenge Boehner in his Ohio primary next year.

As the man leading the only body on the Hill where Republicans hold a majority (the House), Boehner has become the target of tea party ire. And it only seems to be increasing.

As yet another sign of the growing division between GOP leadership and the tea party, the national Tea Party Patriots announced this week that they are planning a March 31 "Continuing Revolution Rally" on Capitol Hill. Their aim is to tell Republican leadership to make good on their campaign pledges to cut $100 billion in spending, defund "Obamacare" and stand up to Democrats.
